E-Governance Services

E-Governance services by GVT helps the beneficiaries to get direct advantage of various centrally sponsored schemes and cash transfer which were hitherto entangled with lots of  bureaucracy and other forms of harassment in the vicious circle of corruption. E-Governance will go a long way in reducing these anomalies which will ultimately result in end of redtapism and other forms of exploitation of the poor. Under the E-Governance Services, two projects are being managed by GVT namely: Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) and National Population Register (NPR)

1. Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY)

RSBY, literally “National Health Insurance Programme”, is a government-run health scheme for the Indian poor. It provides cashless insurance for hospitalization in public as well as private hospitals. The scheme started on April 1, 2008 and has been implemented in 25 states of India. A total of 23 million families have been enrolled as of February 2011. The RSBY is a project under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

In line with this project, GVT has worked in the three districts of Uttar Pradesh (Pratapgarh, Kaushambi and Sonbhadra) and two districts of Bihar (Arwal and Purnia) and was involved in the digitization and smart card generation process of the project.

2. National Population Register (NPR)

The Government of India has initiated the creation of National Population Register (NPR) by collecting specific information of all usual residents in the country during the House listing and Housing Census phase of Census 2011 during April 2010 to September 2010. GVT has done the digitization of various records being maintained under NPR, in “Chakia” District of Bihar, and for doing this job around 200 people were employed. GVT also plans to take up similar projects for future implementation like Unique Identification Card/Number (UID).

3. Financial Inclusion
