Services
1. IMPLEMENTING AGENCY FOR CSR PROJECTS ACROSS MULTIPLE DOMAINS
Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT) serves as a credible and experienced implementing agency for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects across a wide spectrum of development domains. With decades of grassroots experience, GVT partners with corporates, PSUs, and foundations to translate CSR intent into high-impact, community-owned outcomes. Its implementation capabilities span water and natural resource management, climate action, waste management, health and sanitation, education, skill development, women empowerment, agriculture, and integrated rural development.
GVT’s CSR implementation model begins with participatory need assessments and baseline studies to ensure interventions are locally relevant and aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Projects are designed with a strong focus on inclusion, sustainability, and scalability. GVT manages end-to-end project execution—covering planning, mobilization, infrastructure development, service delivery, community engagement, monitoring, documentation, and impact reporting.
A defining strength of GVT as a CSR implementing partner is its emphasis on institutional strengthening and community ownership. Rather than delivering standalone assets, GVT builds capacities of community institutions such as SHGs, village committees, farmer groups, and local governance bodies to ensure long-term maintenance and outcomes beyond the CSR project lifecycle.
GVT also brings robust compliance systems, financial transparency, and reporting frameworks to meet corporate governance requirements. Dedicated MIS systems, third-party evaluations, and structured documentation enable corporates to track progress, outcomes, and social return on investment. With its pan-India presence and sectoral expertise, GVT acts as a trusted bridge between corporate vision and grassroots realities, delivering CSR projects that are ethical, impactful, and transformative.
2. IMPLEMENTING AGENCY FOR GOVERNMENT PROJECTS AND SCHEMES
Gramin Vikas Trust functions as a capable and reliable implementing agency for central and state government projects and schemes across diverse development sectors. With extensive experience in working alongside line departments, district administrations, and public institutions, GVT supports the last-mile delivery of government programs, particularly in rural, tribal, and aspirational districts.
GVT’s role encompasses planning, community mobilization, implementation, capacity building, and convergence facilitation. The Trust has successfully supported government initiatives related to livelihoods, skill development, watershed management, sanitation, health, education, agriculture, fisheries, and women empowerment. Its deep understanding of government processes, guidelines, and reporting structures allows it to seamlessly integrate program objectives with ground realities.
A key value addition by GVT is its ability to strengthen institutional mechanisms for governance and service delivery. By working with Panchayati Raj Institutions, village committees, and frontline functionaries, GVT enhances transparency, accountability, and community participation in government schemes. The Trust also supports awareness generation, beneficiary identification, grievance redressal, and social mobilisation to improve scheme uptake and effectiveness.
Through its field presence and technical expertise, GVT acts as a catalytic partner—helping government programs achieve scale, quality, and sustainability. Its role as an implementing agency ensures that policy intentions are translated into meaningful outcomes for citizens, contributing to inclusive and equitable development.
3. TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING THROUGH KVK GODDA AND NLRI
Training and capacity building form a cornerstone of GVT’s service portfolio. Through its permanent institutions such as Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Godda, Jharkhand, and the National Livelihood Resource Institution (NLRI), GVT delivers structured, need-based training programs for farmers, rural youth, women, community institutions, and development practitioners.
KVK Godda serves as a hub for agricultural extension, farmer training, demonstration of improved practices, climate-smart agriculture, and livelihood diversification. The institution plays a critical role in enhancing farmers’ knowledge, productivity, and resilience through hands-on learning, field demonstrations, and advisory services.
NLRI complements this by offering training on livelihoods, institutional development, project management, governance, and social development practices. Programs are designed for community leaders, SHG members, project staff, CSR professionals, and government stakeholders. Training methodologies combine classroom sessions, experiential learning, exposure visits, and mentoring.
Through these institutions, GVT contributes to human capital development, knowledge dissemination, and institutional sustainability, ensuring that skills and capacities continue to generate impact long after projects conclude.
4. DEVELOPMENT PARTNER THROUGH SCHOOL OF RURAL MANAGEMENT AND NLRI
As a development partner, GVT collaborates with academic and professional institutions such as the School of Rural Management and NLRI to strengthen the ecosystem of rural development practice and leadership. These partnerships focus on nurturing skilled professionals, social entrepreneurs, and development leaders equipped to address complex grassroots challenges.
GVT supports curriculum development, field immersion programs, internships, practitioner-led modules, and applied research. Students and professionals gain exposure to real-world development contexts through structured engagement with GVT’s projects and communities.
By bridging theory and practice, GVT contributes to building a pipeline of competent, values-driven development professionals. This role as a development partner reinforces knowledge exchange, innovation, and long-term sectoral capacity building.
5. RESEARCH AND MONITORING SERVICES
GVT offers comprehensive research and monitoring services to CSR partners, government agencies, and development organizations. These services include baseline and end-line studies, need assessments, monitoring frameworks, impact evaluations, and social audits.
The Trust employs both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to capture outcomes, behavioural change, and institutional performance. Findings are translated into actionable insights that inform program design, mid-course corrections, and policy advocacy.
GVT’s research and monitoring services strengthen accountability, evidence-based decision-making, and learning across development initiatives.
6. AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY SERVICES
Awareness and advocacy are integral to GVT’s service offerings. The Trust designs and implements IEC and BCC campaigns across themes such as sanitation, water conservation, climate action, education, health, gender equality, and waste management.
Using culturally sensitive communication tools, community engagement strategies, and stakeholder consultations, GVT facilitates behaviour change and informed participation. Advocacy efforts also support policy alignment, scheme uptake, and institutional accountability.
These services ensure that development interventions are socially embedded, widely understood, and sustainably adopted.
